NYSE/Nasdaq Corporate Governance Rules Approved

New rules implement audit committee requirements of Section of Sarbanes-Oxley.

> > The SEC approved the corporate governance rule proposals for New York Stock Exchange listed companies and Nasdaq National Market and SmallCap Market issuers. Release No. 34-48745 (Nov. 4, 2003). The new rules implement the audit committee requirements of Section 301 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 and the related Rule 10A-3 under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, but also make a number of corporate governance changes that go far beyond audit committees.
