Shurgard Loses Its Auditor In CEO Flap

Deloitte & Touche resigned as outside auditor for Shurgard.

> > Shurgard Storage Centers Inc, said Deloitte & Touche resigned as its outside auditor because of a dispute over -the timing of and perceived inconsistencies in the company communications- about a $1.4 million overpayment made to its chief executive officer and a partner. Shurgard disclosed that its auditor had quit the account in a filing with the SEC but gave no reason in that filing.
