Ex-Enron CEO faces life in prison and $80M in fines

Jeffrey Skilling was charged with fraud and insider trading Thursday.

> > There are 36 charges filed against Skilling, and new charges against Richard Causey, ex-Enron chief accounting officer, who pleaded not guilty to six charges last month. The charges against Skilling and Causey allege from 1999 to 2001 that they used various devices and schemes to manipulate financial documents for Enron. If convicted on all charges Skilling could face life in prison and a maximum of $80 million in fines.
