Ex-TXU Exec Sues Company Over Accounting Methods

Former VP, William Muray, of U.S. power company TXU Corp. filed a lawsuit against the company claiming he was fired for questioning the company accounting practices.

> > William Murray, who was Sr.VP of capital management from 2000 until he was terminated August 2002, filed a lawsuit on April 28,2003 in U.S.District Court in Dallas. Murray has alledged wrongful termination and denial of bonus under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
TXU spokeswoman Joan Hunter declined to comment on specific allegations, but questioned Murrays expertise. Hunter said that Mr. Murray was not an accountant and many of the issues he raised were outside his professional expertise as well as his area of professional responsibility.
