Sullivan Gets Five YearsFormer chief financial officer at Worldcom was the 'key factor' in the case against Bernard Ebbers, says the sentencing judge, without whom Ebbers 'likely could not have been indicted, much less convicted.'
> > Former WorldCom Inc. chief financial officer Scott Sullivan has been sentenced to five years in prison and three years of probation for his role in the $11 billion accounting fraud at the company.
Sullivan, who pleaded guilty in March 2004 to conspiracy, securities fraud, and filing false documents with the SEC, had faced as much as 25 years.
