Barclays Settles with Enron for $144 Million

Barclays ends its dispute with Enron in the third settlement.

> > Barclays has agreed to pay Enron $144 million to settle litigation stemming from the 2001 bankruptcy of the company. Under the agreement, Enron will allow Barclays claims filed in the bankruptcy, totaling $310 million.
In announcing the settlement, which is subject to the approval of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in the Southern District of New York and other conditions, Barclays said it has denied any wrongdoing or liability.
