Taub to Leave SEC

Scott Taub, the deputy chief accountant at the SEC and Sarbox champion, says he will leave the commission by the end of the year.

> > Taub is credited with playing a key role in the implementation of the accounting reforms under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act for the SEC. He also was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Office of the Chief Accountant, including resolution of accounting and auditing practice issues, rulemaking, oversight of private sector standard-setting efforts, and regulation of auditors, according to the regulator.
